كان يا ما كان فواحد الزمان، كان مش صغيور أبيض وظريف كيدور حدا الفران ديال الحومة. كانت ريحة الخبز سخونة كتشهي، والمش كيموء بشوية: مياو... مياو. جلس المش بأدب حدا الباب وما نقزش وما خسر والو، غير كيتسنى بهدوء. شافو الخباز الطيب وعجبو الصبر ديالو، حط ليه طبسيل صغير فيه حليب دافئ وطريف خبز رطب. شرب المش وشبع ومسح وجهو بفرحة، وبقى حدا الفران حارس ومرتاح. الصبر والأدب ديما كيجيبو الخير والمعاملة الزوينة.
ودابا، جا الليل الزوين، والنجوم كيضويو فالسما. الفران طفى الفاخر والمش ناعس فبلاصتو الدافية. يا وليدي الزوين، يا بنيتي الحبيبة، النعاس جا لعويناتك. خود نفس هادي... هكاك... غمض عينيك ومرتاح... وتصبح على خير، ونعاس هني وأحلام كلها فرحة وسلام.
